First ARP Church has a dedicated team of church members that serve as our Children's Ministry Team. Through their time and spiritual giftedness, they work with our Director and Asst. Director of Children's Ministry to evaluate, plan, and grow all aspects of our children's ministry on an ongoing basis.
The purpose of our ministry to children is to reach kids for Christ and to equip them to serve Christ in their homes, neighborhoods, schools, community and world.
We achieve this purpose through our Sunday School, Worship Care and Wednesday Night programs. We expand these goals through outreach; supporting ministry to our homebound members, the Crisis Assistance Ministry, York Chester Middle School, Inter-Faith Hospitality Network, the West Gastonia Boys and Girls Club, Operation Christmas Child and most recently, The Battered Women's Shelter.
First A. R. P. enjoys the benefit of dedicated volunteers and paid caregivers for all services and ministry programs. Safety and security is assured for our youngest members by providing parents with an assigned pager for easy access. A sign-out procedure is also in place for the release of children at the end of any event or service.
